BTEC NQF and QCF Certification Dates

There are three methods of reporting results, through Edexcel Online, EDI/A2C or by Student Report Form (SRF). There are significant advantages in reporting results electronically in terms of the speed at which we can process the results in time for your preferred certification deadline, see examples below.

Please note that these dates only cover the peak reporting period, you can of course report results at any time throughout the year and these dates are shown in the Information Manual which contains all Key Dates. BTEC Certification dates are in Section 11 - 4 - 4.2 - you might find it useful to bookmark where this is on the website.

BTEC Nationals Art and Design (NQF) for teaching from September 2016 Performance Measures As you are probably aware by now The Department for Education has announced the final 16-19 Performance Measures lists for England (2018 Results. The new BTEC Nationals for Art and Design have been confirmed on the final Applied General and Tech Levels lists and will: Count towards 16-19 Performance measures in England (Summer 2018 results) Be eligible for post-19 funding in England from September 2016

Instructions for Conducting the External Assessments (ICEA) - which will help you to understand the levels of supervision required for different types of tasks and exam settings. For example you do not need to hold BTEC examinations in an exam hall, you can use a classroom/studio setting provided the room has been appropriately set up, this and many other questions are fully explained in the ICEA document.

Getting Ready to Teach the BTEC Nationals in Art and Design from 2016 events will be available for booking soon on the Training pages of the Pearson website.

You will need an Edexcel Online account (basic access) to book onto events.

BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies

The BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (L3 and L4), fondly known as the FAD, is an intense one-year programme which leads students from dependency to independence. Well respected by art schools and universities, it's made up of a series of units that should be delivered holistically. Andrew Holmes, course leader of the FAD at Walsall College, has written a case study of his experiences, which may interest those of you who are thinking of delivering a FAD or who are already big fans!

The BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (QCF) recognised as one of the best courses of its type in the UK for learners at levels 3 and 4, this qualification prepares students for higher education programmes in art and design, developing their confidence in their own ideas, opinions and creativity.
